Can't let things stand still too long!
If you haven't noticed, the site has had a little update in that I have made the top graphic a bit prettier. In my ambition to simplify, I kind of over did it! Oh, well
More importantly, I have updated the In Yer Face jingles showreel to include the tracks I have written for Branch Brothers and a seriously fun commerical for Darrel Else Furnishers.
Cant miss them - they are slap bang on the front of the reel!

Not everything sounds that sexy when sung, and being faced with a product "Branch Brother's," a perfectly good solid name, my heart sunk.
Sometimes one should have more faith in one's singers!
This is the frist time I have used Vanessa Haynes, a soul singer with a growing reputation, and recommended to me by the dear Kim Chandler (who does not recommend lightly!)
Vanessa took my little bit of Motown, and made Branch Brothers sexy - a stunning performance. I am really pleased with this one.

Isn't it nice when a client comeback for a refresh?
Darrel Else wanted something a bit different, something that stood out. Trouble is, we do that for all our clients! Giles at Q103 thought of playing around with a sort of rural cockney, which pretty soon developed into a bit of good old fashioned Skiffle, retaining the Darrel Else "I got that" line.
Instead of doing a straightforward "Studio" jingle, however, I decided we should take this live - set it in a club, or pub, or small folk venue.
A crowd was added, I made the sound live and a little more basic, et voila! A really original jingle that will see Darrel Else through several Sales!

With the new site it would have been rather sad had I not also updated our show reel offering! All three jingle showreels have been updated and can be sound in the left hand menu.
Although there are still familir tracks on the reels, there are significant changes so I would encourage everyone to have a listen.
You can hear and download our showreels here

2008, and it is about time I updated the website. The old design is still nice, but the content management system that I designed has had its day, so a new site backed by the Open Source CMS, Joomla , was definitely in order. And with the new design comes some new bits and pieces. Read on for more details!
