2008, and it is about time I updated the website. The old design is still nice, but the content management system that I designed has had its day, so a new site backed by the Open Source CMS, Joomla , was definitely in order. And with the new design comes some new bits and pieces. Read on for more details!

Client Access

The main addition, from the point of view of the website, is a client area. From here clients can download their music securely as well as read any details about the tracks that they should be aware of.

Each separate client (and each station in the case of a group) will be issued their own password as time passes. Where they have a separate production department, they will be able to access all music written for the group. Hopefully this will keep things a little more organised and helpful for my wonderful clientèle!

All downloads will now come as packages in ZIP files. You will need an archive facility to open these - we suggest the open source 7-Zip which is reliable and completely free even for large corporations.

Music 4 Docs

I will be incorporating music from the Music 4 Docs website over the coming days and weeks so that all my commissioned music is available in one place and under one banner - Dancing Bear. However, the Music 4 Docs site will remain for the time being.

Search

With the new CMS comes a better search facility for the site. Although this is not probably the most vital functionality for this type of site, it looks posh having it!
