Working Together

For many clients who do not regularly deal in a creative process, the lack of obvious and familiar work practices in the so called creative services industry can seem at the least bewildering and at the worst downright annoying.

Having worked as both supplier and client, this is a situation I try to avoid. The fact that you are asking me for ideas is not different in reality than you asking me to build you a wall. Both of them will take time, will use materials and will end with a finished product and an invoice.

So, just like with a wall, when you call me to discuss what you need, I will start with a blank piece of paper and a willingness to listen to ALL your thoughts and needs. And if after that you think that the wall is the wrong colour - we will repaint it!

Although only a bad workman blames his tools, perversely I believe that a good workman should praise his! And my tools, when it comes to music, are my singers. I use only highly experienced singers who are well established on the professional circuit. And when you listen to my show reel the quality they bring to my productions really stands out. The decision to use better singers than many has been a very personal one, and I have decided to take some of the extra cost this imposes out of potential profit - I don't see why only the richest of clients should be able to afford a quality product.

Briefing

I work best when I am well briefed. But I wont let you just stand there working out what that means. When we discuss a project, I will question you thoroughly till I am certain that we understand each other fully. Then, once the project is under way you will be involved all the way down the line - it is your company we are advertising, it is vital that you are happy with how we are advertising it! Finally, costs.

I do not have a rigid price list as experience has taught me that clients needs are rarely that simple! However, if your budget is very tight, let me know what it is and I will see what we can achieve for that price. Don't be surprised if original music is not as expensive as you may think!
