This is a newer area for me, though I have little excuse as I have been deeply involved with the Internet since the early nineties.

My original venture was writing theme and sketch music for an online financial radio station called Moonrock Radio. This was eight years ago and we were way ahead of our time. Too ahead, it turned out ... ah, the memories!

Recently, I have been writing music for an online game (MMO) called Wurm Online. This highly innovative game has required careful thought as far as music goes. Many games just have long looped tracks pounding on in the background that have little to do with the game itself - the producers wanted none of that. Instead, it was decided to write music that was in keeping with the game in the same way as the graphics of houses or trees are.

The music I have written thus far has been a mixture of Anthems for the game kingdoms (suitably pompous and jingoistic, of course), Songs that will occasionally come up in the game, but will also help to promote the game (these vary from folk to southern rock), and incidentals which can be as simple as a few notes on a flute, to rousing orchestral flourishes. It has been great fun so far, and is far from finished yet!
