A New Batch Arrives PDF Print E-mail

Oh, but we have been having so much fun, me and my bunch of singers! So speical thanks go to Kim Chandler, Chris Maddin, Bernie Shaw and Johnny Todd. Definitely been erring a little to the good ole rock 'n' roll sccenario (hence the inclusion of Bernie), though couldn't resist an outing with a big band and some thing that could be said to be a bit daft!

Okay, enough with the mystery! Read more to find out what I am going on about.

Right, let us start with the Man himslef, Mr Bernie Shaw. Lead singer of Uriah Heep, bike rider and all round nice chappy, he also does the odd session. This one is for Rory J Holbrook, a product that sounds like it should be country singer!

Roll out the girls next for this little chappy, Mr Sam Tyres. Actually, the "SAM" bit stands for something and is not a name, but who cares? I went a little Southern for this and Kim did a great "Southern Belle" vocal to get it going. But lets not leave it plain and boring - I just HAD to mess with the lyrics!

Blue River .... oooh, Blue River! When I get a product name like that I just got to go Jazz. And I love a bit of a big band, so I crammed one into my bathroom and chucked in Chris Maddin just for luck

Don't know about you, but I am rather partial to a bit of Uke, so when Waterside said they wanted something relaxing and gardenish, my father's 1910 Uke Banjo was dusted down and tuned up. Rescuing Chris from the amourous glances of the Brass Section, we told him to get whistling, which he did. Oh, and sang a bit too.

Window World don't mess around. They only have one offer, and they ALWAYS run it - Buy One Get One Free. So the writer came up with a neat lyric saying just that. Johnny Todd is a born and bred Tennessian, lives and sings in Nashville. But we got him to join Chris and supply some genuine, southern rock vocals. I tell you, when he started singing, I just had to go eat some fried chicken!

Lastly for this little batch, Norwich Park and Ride popped up and need something to sell park and ride, suprisingly. I am not sure when I decided singing Broom-Broom Ding-Ding would do the job, but I did the Broom bits and Kim did the Ding Ding bits, and well, it all sort of worked. Daft though.
